6th Grade Chromebook Swap

Remote Learners

Remote 6th graders, we are swapping Chromebooks for our Remote 6th graders at the side entrance of the Innovation ceenter each day from 9 - 11 a.m .

Remote 7th and 8th graders, we are swapping Chromebooks needing repair at the same location.  The side entrance to the Innovation center is to left as you come up the main office walkway!

Application Login Troubleshooting

Are you having problems logging into iReady, itsLearning, Schoolnet, and other applications?  Make sure you are accessing these apps from the CORE App Dashboard.  The dashboard can be found on the school district website under the "Student" tab.  Once you've logged in, make sure you are in the correct group.  Escambia County School District/Bellview Middle.

2.  Chrome will ask you for your old password.  Click the "Forgot Password".

3.  On the next page click "Proceed Anyway".

4.  Then go to the "Student" page and use the "Student Password Management" tool to change your password.

Chromebook Repair

Traditional Brick & Mortor Students

Bring your Chromebook to room 20 after you eat lunch. 

Coach Hunt's office is located between halls one and two.  Please Knock and Enter! 

Be sure to have a stickie attached to your Chromebook with what needs to be repaired.     

If I am not in my office, leave your Chromebook at the front office and I will pick it up.  Make sure you have the stickie on it discribing the problem you are having!

Some repairs may be quick, and the Chromebook returned the same day. 

Warranty repairs can take considerably longer, since the Chromebook must be sent off campus for service.  In most cases the Chromebook is returned in five to ten business days. 

We do not give out "loner" Chromebooks.  We have spare Chromebooks assigned to classrooms for student use. 

Homework is not dependant on a Chromebook.  Any "Internet capable" device can give the student access to their ECSD Google account and allow access to their Google Docs and Google Classroom.

When Chromebooks are repaired, the front office student assistants will deliver the Chromebook back to the user.

How to Reset Your Chrome Settings
  1. Open the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and click Show advanced settings.  Scroll to the bottom again and find the "Reset browser settings” section.
  4. Click Reset browser settings.
  5. In the dialog that appears, click Reset. Note: When the "Help make Google Chrome better by reporting the current settings" checkbox is selected you are anonymously sending Google your Chrome settings. Reporting these settings allows us to analyze trends and work to prevent future unwanted settings changes.

How To Zoom In & Out On A Chromebook
  1. Press and hold Ctrl + Shift. ...
  2. Press Plus (+).
  3. Press Plus (+) again to zoom in further.
  4. Press Minus (-) to reduce the zoom level.
  5. Press 0 to reset the zoom level.
  6. When the zoom level is where you want it, release Ctrl + Shift.

Rotate the Screen on a Chromebook

The quickest and easiest way to rotate your screen is to press and hold CTRL + Shift and the Refresh key on your keyboard. The Refresh key looks like a circle with an arrow on it, located just above the numbers 3 and 4 on your keyboard. Each time you do, your screen will rotate 90 degrees clockwise.

Trackpad/Mouse Not Working

Usually shutting the Chromebook down and restarting it will fix the issue, if not, you need to come to the school and swap it out between 9 and 11 Wed. morning!  Please Remember, you do not need a Chromebook to access Google Classrooom or any other educational resource being posted by your teachers.  A desktop, laptop, or iPad with Chrome and Google Drive installed will work just fine.

Some of All Keys Not Working On Chromebook Keyboard

Have the student shut the Chromebook down.  Then bring it back up and see if the keys are working at the login screen by tying #s and letters in the username prompt.  If they work, tell them to log in and see if they are still working.  If not, they need to reset their Chrome settings:

Go to settings......scroll to bottom and click the Advanced button.....scroll to the bottom and select Reset Settings.  

If none of this works, they can use a laptop or another device till we can trade out with them and fix the issue.
